
Pai Liu graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a Bachelor of Architecture with honors and concentrated in Nature-Culture-Sustainability Studies. He is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture (MArch II) at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Pai has worked at Studio ZhuPei, 3six0 Architecture, and other architectural firms.
Pai’s academic interests focus on contemporary architecture typology and critical regionalism, as well as the sustainable innovation of vernacular building materials. Pai’s work, infused by the artistic sensitivity and crafting accumulation, always seeks how making and thinking can inform the design process.
